A firm and a school, not one or the other.
We opened in 2020 to do two things at once — run the books for small
businesses in Maryland, and teach the financial literacy nobody ever got
in school. Five years in, we’re still doing both. The work makes the
teaching better. The teaching makes the work better.
Why we exist.
Most accountants treat clients like case files. We’d rather treat them like students who happen to need their books done.
Most financial-literacy sites treat readers like beginners forever. We’d rather teach the real thing, with real numbers, at real depth.
So we built one place where a small business owner can get their payroll handled this week — and start understanding why the numbers look the way they do next week.
Three commitments.
Explain the work, not just deliver it.
Every month-end close comes with a plain-English narrative. If we can’t explain a number, it shouldn’t be on your P&L.
Open the curriculum.
Our courses, question bank and MITRIC framework are free to start. Pay only when you want deep review and 1:1 feedback.
Train the next CPAs.
Candidates can take on reviewed “quick jobs” from real clients — supervised by our staff CPAs. Practice, not theater.
Four CPAs and a growing bench.

Five years, one big idea.
The best time to start was yesterday. The second-best is today.
